Stories By Moonlight™ is a campaign promoting outdoor time, Nature connection and environmental care. We are growing a network of parents, schools and organisations working together to strengthen children's connections with Nature, one another, and the ecosystems on which we all rely.
From small balconies to back gardens, urban parks to village greens - join us for outdoor adventures and a different bedtime story—one that seeks to rewrite our future and ignite a new generation of Nature protectors and human-story-makers.

BOOK SHELF NATURE HUNT
BOOKSHELF NATURE HUNT
Try the BOOKSHELF NATURE HUNT at home or a local library. Hunt for books and stories where Nature is hiding—within the story, plot, illustrations or characters. Nature still thrives in children's stories and these stories come alive when enjoyed outside.

BEDTIME STORY CLUB
Team up with friends, neighbours or classmates to create a BEDTIME STORY CLUB. Meet-up outside under the sky to share Nature inspired stories, reading and outdoor time. Bring a teddy, hot chocolate and your favourite PJs—grown ups too!

FIND YOUR FAMILY TREE
Put down some outdoor roots with FIND YOUR FAMILY TREE. Search a local area or garden for a special tree where you or your family can enjoy outdoor bedtime stories. Did you know trees communicate to each other through their root systems? Every tree has its own story to tell.

OUTDOOR STORY DEN
Get creative and build an OUTDOOR STORY DEN. Use things you can find and carry - sticks, brooms, chairs, bedsheets, pegs and pillows. Make your den fun, warm, comfy and safe -ask a grown up to check its ready and begin your bedtime story.

GLAMPOLINE A TRAMPOLINE
Do you know someone with a trampoline? If so bring some camping glamour to it and bounce your way into the campaign with the GLAMPOLINE A TRAMPOLINE challenge. Fill with squishy duvets, cosy blankets, puffy pillows, twinkly lights and awesome Nature-inspired stories.

NOVEL ADVENTURE
Dive into a Nature-inspired novel or chapter book and embark on a real NOVEL ADVENTURE. Take your time exploring outdoor spaces where you can enjoy both your story and the beauty of Nature beyond four walls.

30 STORIES 30 NIGHTS is our month-long challenge. It's the perfect challenge for fans of short stories or chapter books and a great way to turn Stories By Moonlight™ into a nightly ritual and lasting habit for your family. Are you ready to take on a month of bedtime adventures? As we like to say—go big or go to bed!
About the Campaign
At its heart Stories By Moonlight™ is a campaign about the stories we choose to tell, the story of our impact on the world and the future story we want for our children. Through the campaign and our seven wonderful outdoor bedtime story challenges the campaign is building a network of families, schools and organisations taking action to reconnect children and parents with Nature, outdoor spaces and environmental care, whilst raising awareness of the vital role Nature plays in our health, wellbeing and shared future.
Stories By Moonlight is exactly the kind of campaign needed in our cities; a campaign placing the green spaces that are so fundamental to our wellbeing and ecosystems within the lives and imaginations of communities and families through an exciting, emotive, creative and enriching experience.
